This is the perfect lacy black dress for summer. And these shoes!! I got these at DSW a couple months ago as a grad present from my mom. They're perfect for summer! I love the bright colors and the ribbon like straps.

Lightness//Darkness

There's something so mystical about the Golden Hour. Where light and shadows collide. Where day meets night. I've always been described as being on the darker side. Pale skin, dark hair, and I prefer the nighttime. Always on the nocturnal side. I can't deny that I do love the evening hours in California during the summertime though. Lazing around in the summer heat, dipping my feet into the pool, watching and the sun slowly starts to descend.

Vintage Dream

Dress; Thrifted

A couple of months ago, I got the opportunity to shoot with my good friend Corey Martin while he was in town. You may remember having seen a preview a month or so ago. Well, here it is, the full set, and they look absolutely amazing! Corey was an absolute dream to work with, and I would definitely recommend him for weddings, promos, or any other photo needs you may have. I'm so stoked on how these came out.

I struck absolute gold when I found this dress at a Goodwill at my end of town. I can usually get some good finds at Goodwill, but this had to have been the best yet. The high neckline is absolutely beautiful (in fact, that's how I want the neckline on my wedding dress to look someday). The beading on it is gorgeous, as is the drop waist, and how it flows out at the skirt.

Golden State

So it cooled off in Fresno for a few days so I managed to break out these gorgeous grommet leggings again. That didn't last long though, it was back up to 95 degrees again today. Which I'm fine with simply because I want it to be hot enough this weekend for me to actually want to stay in our pool for more than 10 minutes. Friday I have my graduation ceremony (only three months after I actually finished school...) and then Sunday I'm having a get together with a bunch of friends to celebrate, which will involve swimming!

I also got to shoot with one of my best friends, Demi, again today, so be on the lookout for that!

Maxi Skirt Pt 3: Witchy

I went more grungy with this monochrome look. You can never go wrong with all black. I didn't realize it until I went through the photos, but this look is actually pretty witchy. I'm digging it though. 

Tomorrow I'm bringing in a friend to be my hair model for a job interview! I'll be cutting his hair in front of the manager, so prayers that I can get this job!

Maxi Skirt Pt 2: Gypsy

I think this may be my favorite of the three looks I created with this skirt. I feel like such a gypsy. I love the bohemian vibe this gives off, especially for summer. I am in love with the blush color lace on this top (it's actually a dress, but I'm using it as a top here), and if any of you really know me, you know I'm obsessed with bell sleeves (and bell bottoms, of course).

Maxi Skirts: Pt 1

So I decided to put together a series of posts on how to style the basic maxi skirt. This one which I got from a shop called ANGL, has quickly become a favorite. I love the tie dye pattern at the bottom. Plus the colors are neutral, so it can pretty much go with anything. I aimed for this look to be a tad bit beachy, with pieces that will flow gorgeously in the coastal wind. I always seem to get lucky at Goodwill, as I found this kimono-esque sheer top there for only a couple bucks. I love all things long and flowy, so it was a must buy. 

I may very possibly have a job soon. I had an interview at a shop earlier this week, so beginning of next week, I'm bringing in a friend to be my hair model for the day, so they can see how well I do. Fingers crossed!

Dark Casual

So, this is a pretty casual, daily outfit for me. More on the dark/grunge side of my casual, instead of the more feminine side. I reworked these shorts myself last summer, and still love them. The shorts themselves, I'm pretty sure I've had since high school. And they're slightly big on my waist...

Anyway, I've also gotten a new tattoo! Thanks to Andrew Thaxter for another gorgeous piece. He pulled off this golden eagle incredibly well, as I knew he would. The banner reads "Isaiah 40:31.

Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
